Would anyone else like to upload files directly to Questions and Answers as opposed to having to link to them?
Do you think it would make the process easier and maybe encourage people to illustrate their points?

Nope. Because it would put an extra load on the servers for the site, and require extra space.
ditto to what epony said… and make it way easier for people to be really annoying ;)
No. Then fluther becomes a site of “Caption This!”
@The_Compassionate_Heretic maybe you’re right, I would hate to see it end up like a certain board on 4chan, or any board on any of the chan’s for that matter.
There are plenty other sites out there that have this functionality, like Rapidshare.
That said, links to sites in the FAQ where you can upload files or images to help with your question asking may not be a bad idea.
One of the nice things about Fluther is that I can do it anywhere without fear of goatse (don’t google that). It is always safe for work. Most people link to stuff if they want to add visuals. It isn’t hard, I do it all the time.
That was mean, @johnpowell, ”fear of goatse (don’t google that)”
You know what people do when said not to do it.
@rebbel dude, you fell for the ol’ “don’t google goatse” trick?
Lol.
Decent arguments either way, but “embedding youtube videos will turn Fluther into /b/” is not one of them.
Despite knowing what that was, I clicked anyway.
I hate me.
