Does anybody here know of a completely free video editor? Preferably open source. And when I see free I dont mean just a 30 day free trial. I mean a free and it stay free.

If you don’t mind the editor being a linear style (that is, edit the video in-line), then VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org/) has always been one of my favorites.
Windows Vista home premium 64 bit. Yeah I know.
@Bugabear In that case, I can’t help you since I have a Mac.. Sorry
VirtualDub has a 64-bit edition.
Aside from all the illegal options out there, Windows Movie Maker is a halfway decent editor that comes with your computer. If you want to do something more complicated and not be morally and legally wrong, you have to shell out the cash.
http://www.openmovieeditor.org/ is good if you have linux but that’s about all I can tell you.
