Why don't more people use rss feeds and readers?
I am the only one I know who uses them.
Do you?
Why or why not?

Cause I don’t know what it is.
I do. It’s a quick and easy way to keep up with websites.
^^ Most people have no idea what they are.
I use Google Reader with about 100 feeds. Used Bloglines and Netnewswire before that.
I don’t use them because I get what I need from the 2 or 3 websites I go to. I have no need of such advanced tracking of information.
@Tink1113 It’s a way of, well, feeding website content into an easily accessible place.
It’ll basically direct all of the articles from websites you pick into basically an inbox.
I suggest just giving it a try, head on over to reader.google.com if you have a google account, and start adding subscriptions by clicking “Add a subscription”.
Alternatively, go to a website you like, and look for an RSS feed button. It’s an orange square with white lines.
One website with them, for example, is Fluther. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page, on the right side.
I love rss feeds. I use google reader. I’ve got feeds for Blizzard games, NCSoft games, TF2, most Gawker sites, and a few other various sites.
@Sarcasm Hmm thanks, so I just click add a subscription and it will go to my gmail?
No, it will feed into your account on reader.google.com. Here‘s how mine looks. If I had unread articles, the name to the left would be bold with a number of unread things, like Gizmodo (24).
This is just how mines looks like, did I do it right?
Looks like it yup. I mean, I’d suggest renaming “WTH???” to something that describes the thing, but yeah.
Haha thanks, it totally describes the “thing” :)
Ditto! I am the only one I know, at least with the people I hang out with in the real world, who uses them.
Maybe I really am a geek. :P
A lot of people don’t really read that much stuff from different sources on the internet.
Information overload. I’d rather get the info manually than have it pushed to me.
