So i’m trying to complie a list of the best 80’s cartoons, although my knowledge is pretty vast. I’m sure that many will have faded from memory over time.

Don’t care if it boys or girls cartoons, it’s for a media project so pretty broad!
VOLTRON, bitches.
specifically the cat voltron. thundercats is #2.
Lil Bits!
Care Bears!
Mia the Bee!
The Wuzzles!
The Noozles!
Gah! Nostalgia! :D
How has He-man and the Masters of the Universe not been said yet? Come on!
looking back i can say without a doubt
they all sucked.
he-man indeed so there for we must say she-ra!
He-man gay! There was me thinking he looked good riding around on a big pussy :o)
Let’s not forget:
Transformers
Smurfs
Inspector Gadget
and G.I. Joe
Galaxy Rangers
Rainbow Bright
i would have thought transformers dominated this thread…it’s the coolest series there was, i bet the people who didn’t watch it watched JEM.
I loved Jem.
The Transformers and GIJOE movies look terrible to me. If I had a choice between paying 10 bucks to see one of those movies or 5 episodes of either cartoon, I’d pick the 5 episodes.
@drdoombot fair enough, those movies suck in every conceivable way, they suck more than a good dyson vacuum, the suck more than a veteran pornstar…i think you can see where i’m going with this.
Thunder Thunder Thundercats – Hooooooooo !
So good infact i got a Lion-o tattoo :) , still have ALL the action figures i had when i was a kid . I also still play ThunderCats: The Lost Eye of Thundera but on pc , i am looking for an Amiga to play the game on tho
Jem
Inspector Gadget
and my favourite, Bananaman (which starred all three of The Goodies!).
G-Force, Robotech, Thundarr the Barbarian, Wacky Racers, Catch that Pigeon.
Smurfs (and their under-water ripoff, Snorks)
Voltron
Scooby Doo (and its various incarnations)
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
She-Ra the Princess of Power
Inspector Gadget
Laugh O’Lympics
Blue Falcon & Dynomutt
Captain Caveman
I wanna say “Pup Named Scooby Doo” too, but I think that might have been 90’s. Not sure.
Wow, with all the Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, Smurfs, and Hello Kitty fare, I don’t doubt why today’s youth are such a mess.
Give me (1995’s) The Maxx.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Even though I did watch ”Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, the ”Smurfs” and ”Inspector Gadget” from time to time, I can’t say I particularly enjoy them. I don’t miss them, neither did I think they were great at the time. Even as a child, I found them boring.
I was pretty excited about ”G-Force” when it first came out, I was quite young then. All the other cartoons I watched throughout my childhood and even in my teens were not made in the ‘80s. My all-time favourites were:
Mickey Mouse (and all the other Disney ones)
Tom and Jerry
Woody Woodpecker
The Wolf and the Hare (Russian)
Roadrunner
Pink Panther
Zapman (in B&W)
and finally Looney Tunes, which I believe may have been in the ‘90s (I was a grown-up when I first saw it anyway).
All the best cartoons were made by Warner Brothers, called Merrie Melodies, and came out BEFORE the 1980’s. Nothing is better than Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, and Sylvester and Tweety.
I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat! =)
I remember Jem! Of course I was very, very young through the 80s. ;)
Most of these cartoons can be see on youtube if you want to go back for a blast from the past!
ISTR Jem being “truley outrageous”
Kidd Video
Pac Man
Punky Brewster
Poochie (for girls)
By the power of Greyskull, what triggered that question?
The 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series.
