I hit a few stores with a dude I consider fashionable. He recommended Tommy Hilfiger Men’s Carbo TR

for everyday Campus/streetwear. Will his suggestion do the job? Will it work with light and dark wash blue levi’s? Will it work with brown jeans?
If not, suggestions are most welcomed. Also, the guys say brown works for me so brown shoes preferably.

If he is the fashionable one , why didn’t you ask him these at the time ?
@sandystrachan I want to get other opinions.
Is it just me or is buying a pair of shoes based on one person’s opinion not the best idea?
Buy things if you like them , or trust the person giving the advice . But If you want advice on how something would look on you , how can we tell without seeing you ?
They would certainly work for any wash of blue jeans, not so sure they’d be the best choice for brown jeans. They have a retro look about them… is that a style you feel comfortable and confident in? Really, the most important thing about clothes and shoes is how they make you feel, rather than how they make you look. Confidence and being comfortable in your own skin is always attractive!
Those are great shoes, and go great with jeans. As @augustlan said, not so much for the brown pants. If you like that look, check out Zodiac shoes. You can’t really find them online, but they’re in most low-end shoe stores. Famous Footwear, etc. Similar look for half the price. I wear them myself.
@lefteh – that is exactly what I thought, looks like Payless to me and I don’t object to the look I just bet if Tommy is on the label they cost a pretty penny.
That said, I think they would go with everything but I always found suede hard to keep clean.
I am against the crowd because I think they would look fine with dark brown pants, just maybe not khaki.
