What to you think of our FBI paying this blogger?

It was reported today that a man who is in jail for writing a blog advocating the killing of Connecticut lawmakers and Chicago federal judges was working for the FBI.

They wanted to follow the reaction to his blogs.

It sounds like a dubious claim that the FBI would do this.
I’m loathe to take the word of a criminal defense attorney defending a neo-nazi at face value.

There’s no evidence of the FBI funding this person.

Because if they did such a thing, isn’t that pretty much entrapment? Why would the FBI expose themselves to such charges? It’s not as though there’s not enough real criminals for them to capture.
