Does your Facebook app for iPhone suck balls like mine does?

I constantly get errors when I try to post comments and such. Am I doing it wrong or is the app a worthless pile?

Nope, mine runes fine. You should try re downloading.
It’s a worthless piece of crap. It crashes, won’t let me post, etc.
Hopefully the coming update will fix these problems.
It sucks balls? What the fuck are you complaining for?
@kevbo mine does the same thing. Usually a re-start of the phone fixes it. Some days though I cant post anything on Facebook its annoying. And hopefully Apple approves the newest version soon. It dosent have push yet. But soon, and that will be a welcomed feature as well.
Just be glad you’re not stuck on the jacktastic turd that is the Blackberry app. The app on my iPod touch seems to work just fine, though.
Unless I’m doing some specific-to-Blackberry thing (like uploading a mobile photo), I prefer the mobile version of the web site directly.
It’s actually kind of amazing to me how many different render methods that FB supports:
– Full web (IE, FF, Safari, Chrome, Opera)
– Mobile web (BB browser, Opera Mini)
– iPhone web (Mobile Safari)
– iPhone app
– BB app
ive had the same problem (i have an itouch), you need to make sure you have a good wifi connection that is close by, and sometime you need to close and re-open the app. if it doesnt work try multiple times. that always works for me.
I’ve never had a problem with the FB app on my iPhone.
I’ve never had a problem with mine, nor have any my friends.
Don’t worry, Facebook 3.0 will be out soon and with tons of new bug fixes and features. You can follow the Facebook iPhone developer’s Twitter account for updates.
In the meantime, I’ve found toggling between notifications and status updates allows posting comments. But I still can’t comment on links or videos.
Mine works fine. Try “refreshing” before posting. Problem might be when what you see is no longer what is.
@DomG: I’ve noticed this, as well… but how do you Refresh? Only the Mail Inbox has a Refresh button.
@hearkat give it a shake. It uses motion to refresh.
@willbrawn: I recently turned that on on the Settings, but it is not unusual for the spinning wheel and ‘Updating’ to appear on the screen and then go away and nothing changes, even though I know it should because I’ve gotten an email.
I’m hoping the new version will be better, because the iPhone App stinks, the Mobile Web version stinks, and the full version on the iPhone is a pain to navigate.
Mine’s alright… when viewing photos the tagging is WAY off, chat crashes almost every time I use it, and some photos just don’t show. But otherwise, it’s free and convenient.
The new facebook 3.0 is out now on the iPhone. It’s so much better!
An upgrade is now available. A huge improvement IMO.
