Declined charges show as PENDING--why?
Why is it that when my card has been declined because of an invalid billing address, it still shows as PENDING on my account?

This means that the credit card company is investigating your attempted transaction. This happens to me all the time when I travel. Especially if you’ve been to more than one state lately, this is bound to happen to prevent identity theft.
It’ll disappear within 7–10 business days. It’s from it not completely going through, but it was an attempted charge. I’ve dealt with that before.
I got an email and a call from Cap One when I charged my new computer to the card. It was a dramatically larger purchase than I customarily make. They were checking that I was me. Call the 800 #.
