How often do you bathe your kids?
I’m a separated father of two small kids (2.5 and 5 years old) and I’m wondering how often you bathe your children? I shoot for every other day, unless they go to a tractor pull or go crazy on magic markers. Thoughts?

I agree with every other day + if dirty on an off day.
Bathing your kids is a great way to bond with your kids.
Every other day is just fine. My son is 2, and that’s about how much we bathe him. He comes in the shower with us.
My kids bathe (or shower) every other day for most of the year. Summer usually requires a nightly bath to rinse off dirt, sweat, sunscreen, insect repellent, salt and sand, and other assorted grime. Sometimes an evening swim in the pool works well enough for that so we skip the tub!
Can you hose them down at the end of the day in a hot climate?
You’re suppose to bathe kids???
My mind is boggling. Every other day? Everyone I know, my own family as a child, my kids, all of my friends bathe daily, adults and kids. I can’t image going to bed dirty or sweaty and kids sure get both.
You mean the first of the month is not good?
3x/week, more when needed.
I just spray a lil’ air freshener in the room when they start really stinking it up…I wasn’t aware I was supposed to bathe them…
In my family, it was always a bath every Saturday night, whether we needed one or not. Still works for me, and none of the kids I didn’t have has ever complained.
Every other night unless she has gotten extremely dirty doing something during a non-bath day. Summer usually means nightly baths.
When I was a kid, once a week seemed enough. With my own kids, I’ll probably do the daily thing, at least until I get lazy.
I tell mine “once a week…. wether you need it or not!” and that’s the Law in these…here… parts
Sounds like a good rule of thumb. When I lived full-time with my daughter, I bathed her almost everyday, but that’s mainly because she liked it and it relaxed her. She didn’t really need the washing all that much, so sometimes we’d skip a day if I didn’t feel like it or if she was running late for her bedtime. 4–5 times a week was normal. She was 3 at the time, 4 now.
Never, my 9 year old and 5 year old both don’t like baths, they always take showers.
