Do you think Modern Warfare 2 will be as sweet as Modern Warfare?

Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4 were all made by Infinity Ward. 3 and 5 were made by different companies. Modern Warfare 2 is made by Infinity Ward again. Considering that 1, 2, and 4 were the best games in the series, the new one should be great.

I play on the PC, not XBL, I don’t really know how big of a difference it is, but yeah.

Cod4 is pretty much the most perfect shooter I’ve played yet. I think Infinity Ward is going to try too hard and mess it up.

I’m getting pretty excited about it, just knowing that the original MW was good, the second would could be better.

It’s going to be amazing! Game of the year for sure.

We can only wait and find out.. Unless someone plays a beta and tells us how good it is on this thread..

Sources I’ve been checking say they won’t let the public in on the beta, just people who are close to the project.

@willbrawn Game of the year until Batman : Arkham asylum is released oh and GT5 , i was going to pre-order MW2 with the night scope but couldnt be bothered as the game will most likely be boring as repetitive as hell

Meh, I’m looking towards L4D 2 more than MW2.

It’s made by Infinity Ward, the same developer from Cod4, so yes, it will be amazing. ;)

@sandystrachan GT5 will be ok, racing games get very old fast. And Batman is great and all but it wont have the same kind of Online play at MW2 will have. I play COD4 4–5 times a week on LIVE.

@willbrawn Obviously batman and MW2 wont be as good online , thats not why i buy games tho . Driving games do get old very fast , if the game is poorly made or the concentrate on one aspect of the gameplay .
Oh and atleast i don’t have to pay subscription to play online, i laugh at you shyteboxers

No. It will be sweeter. You should see all the new HD trailers. But Im a little disappointed that they’ve gone all Rainbow Six on us. And whats with it not being in HD? And online is probably one of the better parts of a FPS.

I am so addicted to COD5. I never owned COD4 but i had it for a while from a friend. The month I had it, I was extremely dissapointed. I think that now that they know what people are looking for in COD, this one will be so much sweeter.

How anyone could prefer a non-Infinity Ward COD over an Infinity Ward COD is beyond me.

I agree with you. But Modern Warfare was made by Infinity Ward, whereas Call of Duty: World at War, was made by Treyarch (both were produced by Activision). Even if Infinity Ward made both games, I think me and you would probably think the same, here is my theory – WaW did not show us any real gameplay of multiplayer/single player video’s, therefore when they brought out the Beta, it shocked us all because we had no idea what was in store for us all and after playing the great MW with much better graphics, gamplay and the whole way the weapons worked. WaW failed with most of those.

But because MW2 has given us preparation of what’s in store for us such as these two video’s giving an example of not just how some multiplayer will work but how fast the game will be, weapons ect – Check it out!

But yes, overall I think Modern Warfare 2 will completely meet what’s wanted of it!

By the way – I noticed your talking about a Beta for the game.

Which of course I have information for. Infinity Ward is releasing a Beta for the workers of the company to play together at the office, they’re calling it an Internal Beta.

They will then decide if it’s the best decision whether or not to release it to the public – here is the sight, they release all sorts of new information.

Whats actually really cool is a Mod for COD 4 thats replaced all the guns with starwars guns. It looks pretty cool. But unfortunately its all in german. Google does a good job of translating it though.
