First time iPhone purchase tips?

I’m eligible for a new phone with AT&T. They said they will sell me the 3G S 32 GB for $299. I see that its available for that price at Apple’s website.

Is it preferable to buy from Apple or AT&T?

Anything else I should know?

It dosent matter at what location you buy it. I personally like Apple better. Phone store salesmen are sharks.

Be sure to get a good case for it. There is a new clear one with a front cover. It is great.

Sounds like you’ll be entering into a brand new 2-year commitment contract with AT&T. If so, either Apple or AT&T is fine. They’re selling you the exact same phone and the exact same commitment.

But, if you have some lingering contract issues with AT&T, you might want to work through their store directly to minimize that potential hassle.
