I got duct-taped to the doorjamb after school and the seniors were going to shave my head but someone called one of the gym teachers who showed up just in time.

On my first day of High School I got lost. Haha it was actually my fault for not carrying that stupid handbook with the map on it. I kept asking other people questions and they didn’t mind.
But be talkative to others and don’t act like you’re the shit. Cause if you do, you are gonna make some unwanted enemies. And they will torture you for the rest of your 4 years…

I came to a Milwaukee public high school on my first day dressed as if I were walking into Repton. Yeah, I didn’t fit in, exactly. But it’s OK. By the time I transferred out to a different school, I’d gotten my varsity letter, my numerals and a couple of chevrons. I left with all limbs and most of my ego intact! :D

You’ll be fine, just be friendly, keep your mind open, expect people to be cool and you’ll be all right.

Everyone else in your grade is going through the same thing. And reports of duct taping and shaving are greatly exaggerated. I never saw stuff like that. Maybe in a little hick high school.

I would suggest getting to school about 20 minutes early and finding your first three or four classes.

I don’t remember my first day of high school at all, so it was either boring or so traumatic that I blocked it out. I’m pretty sure it was just boring. Knowing what I was like, I must have been nervous, but I think if something drastic had gone wrong the day would have made an impression on me.

I know I had at least one good friend in each class, and that makes a huge difference. There’s nothing like a familiar face to help things seem less intimidating or strange.

Oh yeah one more thing
Don’t be anyone’s bitch! Take no shit from anyone if they’re bothering you.

I was so late my first day. The bus just didn’t come. I didn’t have a ride so we had to wait and about 5 minutes before school started, it came. I was so nervous. But it was fine. I don’t remember anything else about it except that when I finally got there, I went to biology and sat by a fish tank.

I decided to cut my bangs the night before, and I cut them unevenly. I kept trimming to try and “fix” the problem. Needless to say, by the time I was done, my bangs were all the way up my forehead. I was mortified… And guess what, no one noticed. No one cared, everyone else was having first day problems too. It is so easy to get caught up in what other people will think about you, but don’t worry, they really are busy thinking about themselves.

Breath deeply, have confidence, and you’ll do great.

Thirty five years ago. Oh HOW was it? I don’t remember, and I hope I never do. High school sucked dead camel balls.

Monday was great-only a couple of smart asses. but with a neg reaction from peers rhey chilled It looks like a produtive year. Monday was my LAST first day of HS (sniff)
