It can’t be something like the Thrust SSX or whatever, it has to be a street-legal car. The Bugatti Veyron is my pick.

You mean in real life? (meaning outside the internet)
Of course. A street-legal production car.
The most outrageous real car (not a picture of one) I’ve ever seen was a Rolls Royce Phantom. That car is ridiculously luxurious.
Which, for those who haven’t seen one, looks like This.
I think I saw one of these
And I saw a car that was all pink. I laughed so hard I almost threw up
I remember a 3-wheeled car that I saw in NYC. It looked very similar to this, but i’m not 100% sure. It was orange.
@Fred931 Your image isn’t working. I tried to link to an image but can’t get it to work (I can’t make the link the entire URL I want).
I had two cars I wouldn’t mind having back: one was a 1956 white Cadillac Coupe de Ville, the other was a 1959 3.4 Litre Jaguar Sedan.
@pdworkin You’ve never seen anything more extravagant or multi-wheeled or egg-shaped than those two cars? (The selections there were completely random; I have never seen those two models.)
I was just waxing nostalgic. Sorry.
Its ok, but it is irrelevant to the question.
A matt black Ford GT which was joining in the Gumball rally.
Here’s one similar to that Gumball one.
A Hummer in the middle of NYC
I mean seriously, what the hell is that doing here? Stop wasting gas and take public transportation like the rest of us
@Fred931 It doesn’t seem irrelevant to me. Those are a couple of dynamite shorts. You got a better one?
Own a better one? Nah. Let’s just stop talking about 50’s legends and move on to backwards-driven Citroens or whatever.
Ariel Atom. 0–60 in 2.8 seconds. Street Legal $60K link
Now THAT’S a rare occasion, @ABoyNamedBoobs03. Be proud of yourself, they only made, what, 500 of those?
@Fred931 I was looking for that video. Thanks. Everyone should check out the vid in Freds reply!
I think it was 450. This guy that’s a client of my brother’s is super loaded, and we all went golfing and he showed it to us when we picked him up…. he wouldn’t let me take it for a spin ;)
I don’t know the models, but I’ve passed Bentleys, Lambos, Ferraris, Lotuses, one of those sick Audis (like in Ironman), Rolls Royces, lots of classic cars, and HumVees. All in the NY, NJ, Philly area.
A woman I babysat for when I was a teenager had a boyfriend that owned a lotus. The doors opened from the bottom out. Being a silly teenager, I was very impressed. Heck, who am I kidding. I’d be impressed now.
sorry I didn’t know that was a brand of cars :(
I would link it if I knew how. Google it. It is a pretty cool little car.
a pacer. old school flutherers will know.
I saw a gremlin too. Along with Christopher Lloyd…
@charliecompany34
Ha. I know what a Pacer is because my parents always used to say it was the world’s ugliest car. I don’t exactly disagree with that. :)
As for the question, I’ve seen some pretty nice cars at car shows (such as a Bentley that was all white and gold on the inside) and my dad owns several nice cars (including sports cars), one of which (a Tesla Roadster) I just got to drive!
But I’ve also seen some kind of yellow tricycle like thing; it kind of looked like a banana. I wouldn’t know where to find out what it actually was. I’ve also seen a remade ‘40s car; it was the original car but completely revamped and redone and it looked really nice (it was really shiny black) and definitely stood out.
Pacer’s are pretty bad, but I think this one tops it out… it looks like a lawn mower..
it’s called the Rhombus, here’s a link
the Ladas were pretty bad too. the 80s wasn’t a good time for the automotive industry’s creative side…
When i was in Geneva in 2007 i saw this Bugatti Veyron…thats me standing next to it btw. The car is a lot smaller than you expect when you think about its quad-turbo W-16 engine.
While I adore the Veyron with it’s 1001 PS and 407 top speed, I like the Gumpert Apollo a bit more, since it looks meaner and is faster around the track.
Well but the only extravagant car I have ever seen in real life was a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo.
If we are talking about a car I have seen with my own eyes, we’ll have to go back quite a few years. Here is a picture of a 1966 Dodge Charger. There was a guy who drove one of these around the streets of Toledo, OH, where I grew up. His didn’t look like this, though. The ass end was jacked up to accommodate the torsion bars and oversized street slicks he ran on the thing. A huge supercharger sat on top of a 426 Hemi engine, with the air scoop jutting at least a foot above the hood. Maybe you saw the one Vin Diesel drove in The Fast and the Furious (terrible movie, but the car was cool); it was like that. The car shook when it idled.
@ragingloli im with you on that, i do quite like the elegance and shear power of the veyron and its incedible engineering, but the Gumpert is jsut a little mental, which makes it more fun. and i assume youre referring to Top Gear when you say ”...the track”...which is probably the greatest show ever.
I was behind an LTI TXII Taxi last night—which is odd, because I am in New Jersey USA!
@hearkat what do you expect? nothing ever makes any sense in that god awful state….
@ABoyNamedBoobs03: It was from a livery service, and that is their gimmick – but I had never seen one before.
~From whence do you get your information about NJ in order to condemn it as “god awful”, and do you even believe in god?~
@hearkat I despise NJ lol. Had a brother that lived there for a year and I used to visit all the time and we’d drive into NY. and no I don’t, I still say god damn it and jesus christ all the time too.
@ABoyNamedBoobs03: Well, if you wanna dump on an entire state from that limited experience in a tiny region of the state, we don’t mind… that means one less person to crowd our roads! LOL!
@ABoyNamedBoobs03 you were in north jersey werent you? Its a whole different state up there :P
@uberbatman where ever orange is considered an acceptable skin tone…..
Ferrari Enzo
Me and my friend in front of a Ferrari Enzo. This was like 8 or 9 years ago… That’s the craziest one I’ve seen in real life.
@uberbatman lol just terrible… if I hear one more person say “Jaggah Bawms!” in NJ I’m going postal…
yeaaa its true, theyre fucktarded, but its all cool, its funny to look at how stupid they look while they think they’re hot shit. Makes for lots of lols
I once got to hit 100 on a public road in an older 360 Spyder
Non-car people, that would be a 5-year-old Ferrari hardtop.
Living in Orange County, I see a couple Bentleys and Maseratis a week. I turn my head for a Rolls Royce or a Maybach, and of course can’t help overhearing the Ferraris and Lamborghinis when they zoom by. Still keeping an eye out for the other super cars…if I’ve seen them, I haven’t recognized them.
The 300 SL Gullwing coupe by Mercedes. Still the hottest.
I have a friend that has a Cobra….whatta fun ride!
My personal favs. are classic Jags.
