What are the tiny white bugs on the lettuce in my garden?

Asked by occ (4179points) August 28th, 2009

Little white bugs seem to like the lettuce and kale that I planted. They are tiny, bright white, and they can fly.

Anyone know what they are? And if there are any natural (organic) sprays that I can use to get rid of them?

Or – are there other plants that I should be planting nearby that will attract beneficial insects to get rid of these little bugs?

Any organic gardening tips are appreciated.

They are probably white flies. There are sticky traps and organic soaps you can use to control them.
