I keep it in the fridge
It still tastes great
They don’t refrigerate it in restaurants—but they also probably go through it much more quickly than you do at home.
Personally, I refrigerate it, and I prefer it cold.
If it doesn’t say on the bottle, then it doesn’t need to be refrigerated. @Andrew: If something needed to be refrigerated for health purposes, then restaurants would need to keep that item refrigerated no matter how quickly they go through it (otherwise they’d be in violation of health code).
Ketchup is the same way: it doesn’t need to be refrigerated (usually the bottle says nothing about refrigeration). However, all that being said, I refrigerate both Siracha sauce and ketchup.
My boyfriend, however objects to refrigerated ketchup and prefers it at room-temperature. It’s an ongoing battle that I usually win because I’m the one who usually puts food away after meals!
@hannahsugs Tell him to get a bunch of packets and he can find somewhere outside the fridge to keep ‘em.
Just wanna say I love that stuff! I refrigerate too.
I believe it’s “sriracha”
I never see it refrigerated at the store.
I always throw it in the refrigerator anyway. It’s never a bad idea.
It probably won’t kill you if you don’t.
No, it does not need to be refrigerated, but if you do it keeps for months rather than weeks
@The_Compassionate_Heretic: Lots of things aren’t refrigerated at the grocery store (mayonnaise, salad dressing, pasta sauce etc) that should DEFINITELY be refrigerated after it’s opened!
No.
But it must be eaten, on EVERYTHING.
