I’m looking for something that is meaningful, but not something that’s very common/similar to your average inspirational quote. Any suggestions?

I guess…what exactly are you looking for? A quote? Or something for the class to chant, etc.?
Also, is it for HS or College? This makes a difference, you know.
A little more info and maybe I can help you out!
high school quote, like something that goes on the front page of the graduation program.
You might try looking at this thread to see if there’s anything there you like.
Do you have any ideas what you want the theme to be? Like, about learning, or about being true to yourself, or being mindful, or…?
Sorry for all my questions, but I want to make sure I can give some good options!
I’m pretty open for the theme. I don’t want something to gushy and emotional, but at least something that has some meaning.
I really like this quote:
Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.
-Oscar Wilde
but it might be to irreverent for your school.
If not that, then this might work better:
Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much of life. So aim above morality. Be not simply good; be good for something.
-Henry David Thoreau
or this:
Any life, no matter how long and complex it may be, is made up of a single moment-the moment in which a man finds out, once and for all, who he is.
-Jorge Luis Borges
Do any of those help you?
Those are definitely good ones. Thanks!
