Are you familiar with the film "Once" or singer/songwriter Glen Hansard?

I’ve seen it and enjoyed it. If I were interested in replaying the music, I think I would get the soundtrack unless I really just wanted only one or two songs.

Yes, a friend of mine is a HARDCORE glen fan. she’s met him dozens of times. he’s a nice guy.

he was also in the Commitments, and is a band called “The Frames”. the song from Once that was up for an oscar (won the oscar?) was also recorded with that band. I went to one show. Not exactly up my alley, but was a decent show. they have a very loyal following.

The band he’s formed with the girl from the movie is called The Swell Season. They’ve recorded an album with most of the songs from the movie, and a few others.

I think that he played some role in jump-startig Josh Ritter’s career? I am not sure if I have ever heard his music, but I love Josh Ritter, so I bet that I would like him, too.
