Please link to that question or explain what the team is for. There are ways to add designs to fabric.
Tie-dye
iron on decorations
glue on string yarns into a special shape
colored duct tape
Jets! Just get those zip-up jackets like James Dean, and wear Levis and Chucks!
When you’re a Jet, you’re a Jet all the way, from your first cigarette to your last dyin’ day. But don’t smoke!
In your original question, you said your team had 10 members… why only 8 shirts? In that older question that kevbo referenced in your original question, I quite liked the idea that person decided on: Paintings/art and curators.
If someone in your group is artistic, your could paint a reproduction of 8 different masterpieces on the front of each shirt, and go as a work of art.
Architecture in Helsinki has some cool costuming ideas, like this or my very favorite
If you’re short of time, the sheep (glue cotton batting to the shirts, make little ears and puffy tails) and shepherds (with PVC pipe crooks?) sound like a good idea. But if you aren’t just performing in the T-shirts—parading around in them or doing a skit (are you?)—but using them for some sort of activity where you all have to be identified as a group, maybe you should give us a hint what the activity is. Elaborate designs and attachments might work well for standing together in a tableau or manning a booth but maybe not for very active purposes such as relay races or a volunteer construction project.
Paint grey clouds and lightning, have one person carry a small drum or something make the sound of thunder. Everyone else carries waterguns. When the thunder sounds, squirt people.
Write multiple choice questions from an SAT prep book on the front and back of the t-shirts and go as the SAT.
Draw pictures of cats on the back with a permanent marker, and also glue sparkles all over the shirt.
