Does anyone speak Hawaiian? I'm trying to verify a translation...
I’m trying to see if the phrase “Pili kau, pili ho`oilo” really means
“Together in the dry season, together in the wet season.” I thought the words for the wet season & dry season were different, but I don’t really understand the intricacies of the language. Can anyone help me out?

I don’t speak it, but my step-mother was born and raised in Hawaii. I’ll link her to the question and see if she can help you out.
Wow, that would be great! Thanks a lot :)
Someone tries to explain it here.
I hope it helps!
@sfortunata I emailed her your question, but I think she might actually be vacationing in Hawaii at the moment!
@augustlan no rush :) thanks again for asking her.
Ok, I heard back from her today (I was right, she is in Hawaii!) She emailed me this:
I wanted to let you know that I found out from someone who speaks Hawaiian, that the translation you showed me is the correct translation. They guy told me that basically it means you will stick with the person through thick and thin. In wet and dry season!!
Hope that helps!
@augustlan thanks soooo much! That was super nice to go to all that trouble. Cheers!
You are more than welcome. :)
