What kind of noodles do most chinese restaurants use to make lo-mein?
I don’t feel like it should be that hard to figure out but I can’t find out online. I use fettuccine which is okay, but it’s not ideal. Anyone know exactly what kind of noodles they are or where to find them

In the best noodle shops in, say, Chinatown in Manhattan or Queens, they make their own noodles by hand, a fascinating process to watch.
Asian grocery stores also sell lo mein noodles, sometimes fresh (preferable) sometimes dried (next best.)
For an interesting flavor try Japanese Soba (buckwheat) noodles.
they just use lo mein noodles
The less authentic or rock bottom cheap places just use regular spaghetti
I buy them at the Asian Emporium. I think they have more egg in them than pasta, they definitely taste different.
In Australia I have not seen them called lo-mein, they are just called egg noodles.
Where i live there are no asian markets so I look in the asian section of walmart or Kroger.
They have chow mein egg noodles and rice noodles but no lo mein noodles. it is very frustrating
