Would drugstores still need to lock up the baby formula if they didn't lock up the condoms? Why or why not?

I haven’t seen condoms locked up in a good while.
They also lock up Crest White Strips because they are frequently stolen.
Baby formula is frequently stolen. It’s expensive, needed, and from what I hear, has a high resale value.
I, too, have not seen condoms locked up. I suppose they must not be as frequently stolen as baby formula.
Also, there are people that do not believe in using condoms that would still need the baby formula, since they may not believe in breastfeeding, either. ;) Apparently not everything natural is God’s Will.
Baby formula is the work of the devil and deserves to be locked up. Breast is best.
I only see contraceptives locked up at places like grocery stores…rare, but I’ve seen it.
I hate when that happens, I like to be able to grab the condoms easily. But, blaming them for a lot of unwanted babies is pretty farfetched.
I’ve never seen condoms locked up. I used to live about 2 miles from a small village convenience store (while everything else was about 15 miles away), in it they had right at the checkout counter, not locked up. Where I live now, I don’t know where CVS keeps their condoms.
I’ve never searched for baby formula so I wouldn’t have any anecdotes about that.
Anyhow, condoms aren’t the only birth control. 1/10.
Condoms are free at any planned parenthood. Getting people to use them has always been the problem. Thus I do not think it would have any real impact on the birth rate.
Here the condoms are not locked up either.
I don’t understand it, but I’m sure there’s some kind of right-wing spin to this question…
and by posting this response, I’m sure I’m playing right into @Noel_S_Leitmotiv‘s hands
No, no ‘right wing’ ‘spin’.
Just something I wondered to myself when I saw they had started locking up the baby formula in addition to the condoms in some stores in NYC.
I’ve seen condoms in locked glass cases at the grocery store.
It makes sense to me. Think about it. If you’re just looking for one lay are you going to buy a pack of forty or just slip one out of the box when no one’s looking?
However, it’s doubtful that there’s a link between locking up baby formula and locking up condoms.
Holy moly, what else would high school horndogs get to maybe keeping the cheerleader from needing formula if they didn’t make condoms easy to steal? It is not like they are going to ask mom or pop to buy them and in many cases they can’t buy them on their own, and since society is not going to wean them on their appitite for boinking until they are older it is a tongue in cheek way of allowing them condoms with out saying they are giving them condoms.
