ORPHANS! How long has this button existed? How do you feel about it?
I love it! If you can’t tell, I’m excited!
Edited to add: This is a new fluther feature. I just realized in my over-excitement, I gave very little context.

Ok, I just saw the blog about it. It’s dated today, so I guess that answers that question.
The “Orphan” button appeared on the home page today. I am suprised at the number of questions that remain unanswered, but I question the point of answering the older ones.
Now any question with 0 responses gets a second chance!
It’s a paradise for anyone that lives to be the first to comment on a thread
Evidently it doesn’t appear when one is on the iphone? Or am I missing something?
All the questions that remain unanswered seem to be about esoteric computer issues.
@DominicX: That’s what I noticed too! I was a little disappointed, but there are a few that aren’t that old (a few weeks) that are just esoteric, and not computer-oriented. Like that person asking about bicycle clubs in NJ for teens.
I saw that earlier, browsed through and tried to answer whatever ones I thought I could. I think it’s pretty damn cool.
I’ve wanted it for a while – now I want it on the iPhone…
I started looking through them realizing that I couldn’t helpfully answer them and had to refrain myself from putting sarcastic comments.
Example: How do I stop my Casio CA-53W from beeping?
Potential sarcastic comments:
– Garbage disposal
– Blender
– Drop from multi-story building
– Etc.
I noticed it yesterday, and called @augustlan to notify her. So yeah, yesterday, I guess. I love it.
The Orphan questions make me feel stupid.
Haven’t been able to answer any of them.
They indicate we need a techie to help us answer questions.
