Photographers: Shall I get the Diana + or the Diana + Mini?

Asked by SundayKittens (5834points) September 10th, 2009

I’m in the market to add to my sweet Holga/Lomo posse with the Diana +. I found an article about the Diana Mini that uses 35mm. Now this is much more convenient for me since I live in a small town and have to drive 30 minutes to the closest place that can develop 120 film. But…I don’t want to sacrifice quality for convenience.
Anyway, what suggestions do you have for me? Which should I choose? Are there other Lomo/Holga cameras you recommend?

i recommend no “lomo” cameras because they are a rip-off for what they are. The regular diana is a holga clone (or vice versa, who cares), which is one you may already have. If you want quality point and shoot film, start looking at a Contax G2, Olympus XA, or a Yaschica T4.

One thing that is quite interesting is the Fuji Instax film back for the diana. That would make for some interesting projects.
