I just got a new iPod touch for a wedding gift and alas, they just came out with new ones. I know there is a 14 day return policy where you can swap out for the newer better one, ive done it before with my macbook pro, but my question is, the item was purchased at Walmart, not at an apple store, so can I still swing this somehow??? Today is day 14 so I need to know ASAP!!! thanks so much!

Use your telephone and call Walmart and the Apple Store nearest to you.
a wise guy eh?
I believe I might be over thinking this….
I just need to return it to walmart and then take the money and buy a new one at the apple store.
right?
That should work. If they won’t give you the cash, just do an even exhange.
Return it at Wal-Mart and get the money, then buy at the Apple store. The product number will be different if you bought it at Wal-Mart, so you can’t try to return it at the Apple Store.
Also just calling either store is a good idea.
Don’t even worry about it, they barely changed anything in the new one.
IT has the faster processor of the 3G[S]. If you can exchange it for no additional cost, it is worth it.
If you were spending money to get the new one, then it would not be worth it.
Just so you know, only the 32GB and 64GB versions have the faster 3GS processor.
@patg7590 :: Actually, it was the quickest and easiest way to find the best answer. I was just trying to help.
