Is it possible to convert a PDF document into a Word document without having to download any other software?

Asked by tedibear (19389points) September 10th, 2009

I had a rather large & important document saved in Word. In order to upload it onto our company intranet, I convert it to a PDF, insert or change any bookmarks, save it as a PDF and have the web people do the upload.

Here’s the problem: I deleted the Word file accidentally! This is an issue because it’s much easier (for me) to add pages and do large scale edits in the Word document than in the PDF.

I’m not allowed to download software on my company PC, so I need to know if there’s a way to convert this very large document back into a Word file. I know it’s possible to do the edits in Acrobat, but for me, it’s a pain. If it’s not possible to do this, so be it, but I’m hoping that it can be done.

you need to be able to upload and download simple word or pdf files. Nothing to install, no software involved.

@Kraigmo I wish I could give you 10 GAs!

Acrobat Pro would allow you to do this perfectly. I use it for the same thing all the time.

Thank you @Kraigmo ! Lurve to you!

@Austinlad – Do you mean Acrobat Professional? I have that – it’s what I use to make the word doc and PDF. If that is what you mean, then how do I do it?

without downloading any software?i dont think so. mostly people would like to use Abode Acrobat, but it’s very costly,so for personal use,i think you can use Simpo PDF Creator,cheap but useful. search in google,you will get it.

I forgot that I still need to do this! Glad it came back around!

@lxkarry – I have Adobe Acrobat Professional on my computer. (This is a work related document.)
