Jame Earl Jones
Morgan Freeman
Morgan Freeman for sure. I’m going to read this questions in his voice for the rest of the day.
Richard Attenborough no wildlife or nature show is quite the same without him.
I also fully concur with @se_ven they both have fantastic presence in their voices but I would also add Alan Rickman to the list
Janes Earl Jones, of course. Also Patrick Warburton .
Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman
I also like Sigourney Weaver’s narration of Planet Earth.
Sam Elliot has a great voice
So do Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones
Any deep-voiced Black man haha oh yea…
Richard Briers
Michael Palin
David Attenborough
Lawrence Olivier
Stephen Fry
Samuel L Jackson
Morgan Freeman
I can’t think of any women at the moment.
John Hurt is my all time fave.
Patrick Stewart
Pierce Brosnan
I always loved John Malkovich for his voice.
@Leanne1986 GA can’t believe I forgot Stephen Fry, I lurve Stephen Fry, I would go gay for Stephen Fry, lol
Patrick Warburton is pretty amazing.
Patrick Stewart
Sean Connery
Keith David
Robert DeNiro
Al Pacino
Arnold Schwarznegger
I could listen to these guys talk all day.
Penelope Cruz. Schmexy.
Even if I don’t know a word that she is saying. (favorite Penelope movie)
The All-State isurance man. I could have sex with his voice.
Willem Defoe.
(And yes, that’s how he spells it).
@drdoombot: Lurve for Patrick Stewart.
I would pay good money to hear something narrated by Hugh Laurie.
@poofandmook I love House! And he could do it in either British or American accent!
Lauren Bacall
Michael Palin
Gene Hackman
Tom Baker
Stephen Fry
Kelsey Grammer
James Earl Jones
@Zen: I would also pay good money to hear something narrated by Robert Sean Leonard. The scene in Dead Poets Society when he’s on stage as Puck, I always wished that part would’ve gone on longer.
@poofandmook I think my dad has an audio book read by Hugh Laurie, I know he’s got the Harry Potter ones done by Stephen Fry
@poofandmook I don’t know why, but you made me think of Al Pacino saying “I’m in the dark here” from Scent of a Woman. I’d pay to hear him read anything. He was brilliant on the “Actor’s Studio”.
@RareDenver: I almost want to say that Hugh Laurie narrated his own book, The Gun Seller. I remember reading that somewhere… although that could be complete hogwash. LOL
Billy West is a phenomenal voice actor.
The guy who played Puddy on Seinfeld, what is his name?
Oh, he is good, isn’t he?
I’m so surprised that only one person mention Sigourney Weaver. She did a phenomenal job with Planet Earth!
I love Liam Neeson’s voice! Like, in a sex way.
Leonard Nimoy
Jim Dale
James Earl Jones
Morgan Freeman
@augustlan I do agree with Sigourney. Her voice is very calm and soothing. Perfect for Planet Earth.
hello?
ever hear “Jason Statham”
you know, “Transportor 1–2—?”
I’m in agreement for Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.
Neil Gaiman is an excellent narrator (he does a lot of his own books).
Also, Tim Curry is an amazing audio book narrator…very dry, and underplayed (as opposed to overplayed). (He’s done the Sabriel books and A Series of Unfortunate Events.)
I’m in agreement with @Darwin: Jim Dale is excellent at narrating. He was great reading the HP series, and great on Pushing Daisies.
Billy Crystal for Calcifer, Mike Wazowski and Miracle Max.
John Hurt for “The Dragon” on Merlin.
Also, I don’t know if he does audiobooks, but if he did, I would listen to Anthony Stewart Head all day long (in his Giles accent, not his native one).
And, of course, Alan Rickman.
Oooh, @evegrimm, you’ve a few there I forgot!
Alan Rickman and Neil Gaiman. ::sigh:: I’ve yet to hear Tim Curry, but I’ll rectify that presently!
@aprilsimnel and @evegrimm Alan Rickman is my wife’s weird crush, everyone has one, my dad’s is Whoopi Goldberg, that’s well weird
Mine is Rachel Weisz, now you might not think it’s weird but you would if you saw her in the film I first ever saw her in (I was in love with her from that moment on)
Tim Curry, one hundred percent.
@evegrimm lol your link just proved how weird it is
Avery Brooks – Fantastic!
Morgan Freeman. If I had to put a real, human face to God, it would be him.
I also like whoever they used to narrate the God of War series. An old, wise, strong sounding woman.
Oh yeah and I think Kevin Spacey also has an amazing voice
@sjmc: Lurve. I would not kick Kevin Spacey out of my bed for eating crackers… I can’t believe I didn’t think of him myself!!
I agree with all the Alan Rickman/Neil Gaiman love :D
I’m also going to say Amy Sedaris cos her voice is just so quirky and makes everything funnier. I like Stephen Colbert too. X) I love listening to my Wigfield audiobook.
Honour Blackman who played Pussy Galore in James Bond has the sexiest husky voice ever. even now in her old age it makes me imagine!
the voice of optimus prime… the movie trailer voice over guy
“the movie trailer voice over guy” was quite memorable. Unfortunately, Donald Leroy LaFontaine (August 26, 1940 – September 1, 2008) is no longer with us.
Did you know he recorded more than 5,000 film trailers? Plus hundreds of thousands of television advertisements, network promotions, and video game trailers.
