Was anyone at the 9/12 march on washington and (if you were) what were your thoughts?

Well, I have a friend who went (I don’t know if this is good enough for you), but she said it was fantastic. She felt that she really made a difference. I do not share her views, but she said there was a huge turn out and that everyone seemed united in the message.

Ehhh, I was forced to watch about 20 minuets of Glen Beck before we could switch too football.

I can respect people on the right who have legitimate concerns or issues or stances/opinions different from mine on the left… But Beck is a straight up psycho. All he sees are conspiracies, communists, fascists, the end of America as we know it, etc.

The man needs therapy, not a tv show.

I didn’t watch any video of it, but I did check out a flickr album posted by a lovely person named Meethecrazies.

I think there are some legitimate concerns, but overwhelmingly it’s just stupidity.

I gotta say I love some of the comments there. Also that there are no black people in the entire set except for here and I have reason to believe he’s just passing through, and not part of it.

I’d rather have these folks running around complaining about Obama than have McCain running the show.

I heard an interesting stat. This 9–12 thing received a TON more coverage than any of the anti-war protests about Iraq during the Bush administration.

9–12 Protest attendance ~70,000
Largest anti-war protests attendance ~1,000,000

Let them cry because they lost the election.

Apparently no one noticed the “Not really interested in someone who wasn’t there telling me how stupid it was or how crazy you would have to be to go. So please dont go there lol.”
