Need help for my Wii?

Asked by Swervy (107points) September 14th, 2009

I want to hook it up to the internet. How do I do this with a Nintendo W-i-F-i USB Connector? I have wireless broadband on my laptop with windows XP and it is a fairly new computer I have had it for 2 yrs.

If you already have a wireless network, as you imply, you don’t need any kind of adapter or connector. The Wii can do Wireless all by itself. Just turn it on, go into the Settings Menu, find the Network settings, and enter your Wireless Network details.

Curious. This is the third time you ask the same question. You didn’t feel that you got an answer?

I would still go wireless if I were you, but if you have an adapter you need an ethernet cable as well.

Here’s how #.

Wii has built in wireless b or g , you do not need an adapter .
You write your wep key down , go to settings and select internet connections and follow the on screen commands ( some not all modems/ routers need you to push the wi-fi button ) it really only takes a few minutes . Its just the same as setting up the wireless on a laptop or desktop .

Why doesn’t this get moderated? This is the third time (1, 2) this is asked by the same user. You won’t even take the time to respond, are you expecting one of us to hop on a plane and come to your house to install your Wii? The tutorial I gave you yesterday was moron proof, it was designed for children to understand.

@markyy I got a few PM’s about it from the user , me thinks its just a dumb spammer .

Ugh. I didn’t notice the prior postings. I’ve gotten two PMs asking for more help too. Guess I’m done giving it.
