I haven’t read of any fun improvements, and I have read of a few bugs. Anyone else have thoughts or experience with latest update?

When will they bring the price down or make it free?
I don’t know if it’s the new 9.0 iTunes or the new 3.1 iPhone, but you can now rearrange your apps on the iPhone layout from within iTunes. That’s very welcome.
@erichw1504 stuff costs money. Welcome to the real world.
@MrItty You have to download iTunes 9.0 and iPhone OS 3.1 to do that.
Yeah, I don’t see any reason to download it. Rearanging apps has always been possible on the actual device, I don’t know why I would want to plug it in my computer and then sync it just to do that. The coolest thing I think is Genius in the app store.
@J0E because it’s significantly easier to use the mouse on your computer to move them from screen to screen. And you’re likely to be connecting your iPhone to your computer every so often to synch new music or podcasts anyway, so why not take advantage of it while it’s there?
@MrItty yea, well I don’t think it’s worth the $9.99.
@erichw1504 you don’t think what is worth $9.99? What are you talking about?
@erichw1504 Upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 is free. Upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 is free for iPhone users. If you have an iPod touch…. eh, guess you lose. But I think you lost when you decided to buy a glorified smart-phone-without-a-phone in the first place.
@MrItty I don’t need my phone to do what the iPod Touch and iPhone do. I’d rather have them separate, but thanks anyway.
@MrItty Yeah I guess screw everyone who doesn’t have AT&T, they don’t deserve to have that technology in their hands.
@J0E riiiight, AT&T/Apple are the only ones in the world that make a smart phone. That’s just Apple-brainwashing right there.
@MrItty I didn’t want just a smart phone, I wanted an iPhone and since I am not on AT&T I went with the next best thing which was the iPod Touch and it costs a lot less to use too.
Why is there so much bickering on this question? I don’t think @cdwccrn wanted all this.
I think there’s better places than Fluther to do all this.
I think it will be very educational for @cdwccrn.
@J0E okay, so now you’ve got exactly what you wanted. So why are you complaining? iPhone users give Apple/AT&T a monthly fee, part of which goes towards these updates. The iPod Touch you bought was a one-time purchase, and so it makes perfect sense to charge for a latest-and-greatest version.
I’m not seeing the issue.
@MrItty All I was trying to say was that the iPod Touch is just as good as the iPhone and a better choice for some people.
@erichw1504 The price of the 3.1 update for ipod touch is actually $4.95 not $9.99. So they have brought the price down. Incidently apple charge for the update due to the way they file their accounts.
@JOE your bickering was not helpful or education for me.
@cdwccrn No one was bickering, and if you didn’t find any info you need to look harder.
