I have videos that I have taken on a digital camera which are now on my desktop and I want to have on my itouch. I think I have to put them into some sort of format before i can place them into the ipod, but I don’t know how to go about this. is there anything I need to download?... or is this simply not possible. thank you for any help you can provide

What file format is it in? You might want to try MPEGStreamclip.
Import your video into MPEGStreamclip, then go to file>export to mpeg-4. After the conversion is complete, you should be able to drag and drop it into iTunes. Feel free to ask if you have anymore questions.

In QuickTime go to File>export>export

Then either iPhone or iPod. I would try iPhone as you have an iTouch and everything else treats them the same.

I have no doubt this will be the easiest answer here.

Step 1: Take the pics/mp3 files etc. And email them to
yourself.

Step 2: Go on your iPod and click “download”, the pics/mo3 files will load.

Step 3: Niw the pics should show up. Save the pics as you normally would, and they will be in your photo library. An mp3 file will show up as a bar with a QuickTime file and you can click to play it, it also works for mp4’s. You font need wifi to play them.

Step 4: Enjoy!! Have fun and enjoy your files!!

@XOIIO That was a great answer but you neglected to answer the question.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work by just dragging it in there. The videos I put on my iPod Touch are usually in the .MPEG-4 format. If you need something free to convert them, try WinFF.
