I don’t want to accidentally use a tool that will violate YouTube’s copyright/anti-piracy measures. What should I avoid? Thanks!

I think it’ll work to play on my iPhone and record the output to GarageBand, but if anyone is inspired to present a solution, please do so. Thanks.
Whoa, I just tried, too… that’s very strange. Well, if all else fails, you can always record it on garageband and import your recording to iTunes. It’ll be a terrible recording if you don’t have external speakers, but then again getting it off youtube the sound quality isn’t amazing to begin with, so if you really need it that’s a good last resort (that I admit I have come to in the past!)
Whoops, you got in there right before I did. At least it’ll be something, right?
Yeah, I mean I can run the headphone output from the iPhone to the mic input for my Mac, so the sound should be okay. Thanks, though.

It is realtime so you need to listen while you record. But it will work. I use it everyday. It just records the sounds your computer makes. You can save as MP3 or whatever.
If you use www.video2mp3.net you just email the mp3 file to yourself, click to load ok your iPod/iPhone and it plays as a quicktime file. You can even lock your iPod while it plays.
—all you need to do is pit in the YouTube URL and it converts the video to audio.
@johnpowell Is there a version of audio hijack that is for windows?
