U2 fans, do you have an absolute favorite song or albumn, or unique experience?
U2 has been one of my favorite musical artists over the last 3 decades. After all these years, “The Unforgettable Fire” remains my favorite, with the song ‘Bad’ as an ongoing beautiful inspiration. Any of you have any favorite albums, songs, experiences, or stories to share??

I really like ‘Where the Streets have no name”...
With or without you. I also like in the Name of Love for it’s historical event lyrics. Beautiful Day is optimistic, (: and I also like the Magnificent. I like many of their songs, but these are my top 4 in no particular order.
I’m surprised people like U2 at all.
I use ”I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” to teach Present Perfect.
@Zen lol never thought of that one! Good idea :)
I love the whole “Joshua Tree” album, which for me was their best moment.
@Jack79 Awesome album – it’s on my list for the proverbial deserted island.
I came of musical age with The Joshua Tree and do a decent job of singing and playing Running to Stand Still. I saw ZooTV in Chicago, which was sweet, and I did a paper in college on the postmodern aspects of Zooropa, which meant I listened to that album a bazillion times (and liked better than Achtung Baby). I’m not into them as much since then.
I saw The Joshua Tree tour when I was 17. I still haven’t found what I’m looking for was the last song that they played, and as everyone was leaving the arena we all started singing the chorus. There were hundreds of us singing along as we walked out to the parking lot. It was a moment that I’ll never forget.
“Where the Streets Have No Name” makes me want to drive my car into a brick wall, like that guy in Fearless.
I absolutely love it!
I was stuck in panama a couple of years back with the U2 “The Best of 1980–1990” album as the only music for company. I was skeptical at first, but now, I can’t imagine what else I’d have rather listened to. Driving rather aimlessly through Panama, secluded beaches, villages, cities, the music was the perfect soundtrack.
I came to love U2 those fews week, becoming especially fond of “Bloody Sunday”.
These days though, my favorite is “Elevation”.
They played most of the songs listed when I saw them for the first time 2 days ago. It was a fantastic concert experience, as I expected it would be. :-)
I love “Breathe” from the new album, but “Ultraviolet” and “One” are probably top of my list… for today at least. So many greats to choose from.
Unsurprisingly, Achtung Baby is my top album, closely followed by The Joshua Tree & No Line. I haven’t played a new album as much as NLOTH since AB first came out.
