This is beginning to look like the CIA thread
This report estimates 2000 protesters.
At the April, 2009 G-20 summit in London, 35,000 demonstrators marched through London.
It was seriously underwhelming. Today is not over yet, but yesterday, all the universities near Carnegie Mellon closed, as did numerous businesses. Our campus even had serious extra security, and half the buildings were closed because of their proximity to Phipps conservatory, but I didn’t see a single protester walk through campus, unless they were our own students. The only thing different about the day was that campus was oddly quiet and empty. Some projections were estimating 50K people would show up. Definitely missed the target…
I like to think that there really were 50K protesters, and that that Pittsburgh just devoured most of the out-of-towners. :D
oh man, can I appeal Removed by Fluther Moderators?
what’d you say @ChazMaz? I forgot what I said. something about wanting to see the beatings or the like.
I said, just protest Pittsburgh.
Ooops, here we go again.
@ChazMaz probably a violation of the “first quip” guideline.
