I’m going to be in New York City for the Marathon in November and I want to be able to see the runners up close. What’s the best place to catch the action? Thanks!

The last mile I would think is where you would want to be…along Central Park S. Get there early a lot of people line up to watch there.
It really depends on how long you can hold it in.
The deeper you get into the crowd, the harder it will be to get to the toilet.
In New York City, I’d say.
Best place to watch the NYC Marathon? On television, poolside in sunny Southern California. See ya….Gary/wtf
I agree with AstroChuck! hahah Actally, I think one of the most moving stations is mile 20.
Why did my comment of “near the finish line” get deleted? isn’t that an ideal spot to have at a race?
