Shadow complex: stuck after the helicopter?

Asked by andrew (16562points) September 28th, 2009

I’ve just swam across the docks, dodging bullets from the helicopter. I’m trying to find a lab of some sort. All the doors have red locks on them (but aren’t colored red in the map)—it’s colored purple on the map.

I haven’t picked up any passcode cards in the beginning maps because I figured I’d have to go back since there are all these doors I can’t open yet.

I figured maybe I missed something, but when I swim all the way back, I can’t mantle up just past the docks to the left.

Can anyone give me a small hint of what to do? Just a nudge.

Since you’re unable to mantle up just past the docks, I’d suggest swimming back a little deeper to avoid being shot and continuing your search for the lab. According to your map, purple means red. If you truly need a pass code for the locks, you might be stuck. Study the map and go with your gut.

@chicadelplaya I can’t seem to mantle up to the screen to the left of the docks either (which is where I thought I’d be able to)... let me give it another shot.

Not quite sure what you mean about purple meaning red… the background for the rooms on the map is purple—but the doors themselves aren’t red (indicating I’d need a missle)

Well, I was able to climb up the sheer face by wall jumping, and I found the keycard component….but I don’t think this will help me. These doors just won’t open!

Found it! Oh, tricky! You really have to pay attention to the environment…

@andrew It just dawned on me that you were talking about a video game and I’m clueless about video games! lol! I just thought you were throwing out an interesting random scenario to see who would come up with what. That’s funny. :) Sorry about that.
