I was looking at a ring about a year and half ago and it was $100. Now it’s $180!

I use tungsten carbide burrs on my rotary grinder and they have not changed in price in the last couple of years.
I didn’t know they made jewelry out of tc, is it pretty?
My guess is that it has nothing to do with the price of TC and everything to do with the price of gold. Because TC is one of the “fallback” jewelry metals that people turn to when gold gets too expensive, and since gold prices have recently gone through the roof, I’m betting that jewelers have jacked up the prices on all of their non-gold jewelery in response to the increased demand.
