I work with a personal trainer and he has incorporated some elements of P90X into my work outs. I haven’t lost all the weight I want to lose, but I have trimmed down considerably and can tell that I now have muscles. It is hard work but it does the trick, especially if you can deal with the diet part of it (I’m not so good at that).
The gym bought the whole DVD set so the various trainers can watch them without having to each pay big bucks for them all.
My gf’s son who is slim, a smoker, and somewhat fit started it. He had to quit when blood started showing up in his urine due to muscle tissue
damage. Proceed with a degree of caution.
My boss tried it this past year. He liked parts of it better than others. He did say he lost some weight around the belt (he wasn’t big to begin with) and gained some muscle. I’m sure the more dedicated you are too it, the more you can benefit.
It sounded like the difficult parts were the time commitment and the diet. After he finished the 90 days, he said he would likely keep certain parts of it (abs, arms) and not others (yoga, legs).
It’s a great program if you do it correctly.
look at pople who done it on YouTube theres a whole community that get one another encouraged,..I think it’s legit, haven’t started it yet but will soon as well.
