Layers, so you can shed and add.
Edit: gloves and hat in pocket or purse.
Another edit; Goretex jacket in case it rains.
Layers.
Tshirt. Cotton button-up shirt. Light sweater.
It’s like that where I am too, jeans and sweatshirt is perfect.
Layers, I would wear a short sleeved shirt or a light long sleeved shirt and bring a sweater of some kind along just in case.
Pretty much sweatshirt weather for me here in Chicago. It’s different at the beginning of the cold season and at the end. The first cold days feel colder than the same temps in the springtime.
jeans and a long sleeve shirt most likely
i should add, i’m a big fan of the zip up hoodie.
ah, @Axemusica beat me to it!
What are you going to be doing? I’d dress differently if I was going to be doing yard work, for instance, than if I was going to be watching a football game.
polar fleece jacket/pullover if you have it
goretex jacket in case it rains doubles its value as a wind layer when worn over a sweater
everything else, do in layers
I’m a big fan of sweatshirt + shorts for that range of temps, as long as it’s not windy
i would go naked. i find 30 almost intolerably hot. 50 degrees is a nightmare.
@ragingloli I think you better go see a doctor, that is not normal.
In that weather I’d wear jeans, a t-shirt, and a sweat shirt.
Shorts, T-shirt. Light sweater.
I grew up in SF, and in surviving the variable weather, layering is key. I’d bring a pair of shorts, pants, some t-shirts, a long-sleeved shirt, and a fleece. It can feel warm during the day, particularly during the indian summers there. However, the fog can roll in any time, so carrying the long-sleeved shirt will put you one up on the tourists caught out and freezing in their summer attire.
@noelasun: In your honor, I just ran an experiment. I went out in 48 ˚ weather and wore jeans, socks, long-sleeved T and a fleece jacket. I would have liked a sweater over T and under jacket, and gloves, if I were going to be outside for several hours.
It was drizzling and therefore damp.
I hit Shift + K first, and in correcting to Option + K ( ˚), something (me, probably) got snarled up.
48°?
you must have sweat like crazy in that heat.
@gailcalled thank you for that information; I will pack accordingly. =)
Thanks everyone;; layering is key, got it!
depends on where you live. for the west coast, that’s COLD! but for us in chicago, you can see people in shorts, windbreakers, sweaters, hoodies or no jacket at all.
after a deep freeze winter in chicago, temps in the 50s to us is a heatwave.
