New Zealand looks all right I guess

Italy. Or Germany.

To my estate in Perugia.

Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, I don’t have a preference. Somewhere with English as the main language, though.

Jamaica or the Bahamas

My first options would be English-speaking countries, in order of geographical distance from my current location. So Canada would be first choice, followed by Great Britain and Australia (I’m sure there are other mostly English-speaking countries that are closer than Australia, but there’s something appealing about the idea of living there).

Of course, a big consideration is the reason I am being kicked out of my current country. If I was being kicked out because of my religion, there’s a good chance that the sentiment would be strong in most Western countries, limiting my choices. I suppose Israel is the ultimate refuge for Jewish people.

Canada. The hunting and fishing is great, and I have friends up there. Also, I can do a pretty good Canadian accent, eh?

Somewhere along the Mediterranean, preferably Portugal or Spain. I wouldn’t mind having to learn a new language. It’s the area that is closest in climate to my beloved Los Angeles, and I love the food. Plus, I could marry. I’d go there now if I could.

Canada or to a little island in the Pacific ocean

It’s not like moving to another country is as simple as jumping on a plane.

Sarcasm's avatar

@evelyns_pet_zebra The people in the midwest have more stereotypical Canadian accents than the Canadians themselves do.

Italy… it’s just 30 miles away.

Greece, because I’m part Greek. I have family in Greece and although I don’t talk to them as much as I wish, they’re still family and I know they’d help me out if I needed anything. Besides, I’ve been there and I love it.

Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Love that place. I spent a week there. I could definitely live there.

I would also consider Australia or New Zealand. Love those places. And if I didn’t like the cold of Canada, I might choose those two instead. I would also consider somewhere in the Caribbean like Trinidad and Tobago or The Bahamas.

Any country that would have me, getting kicked out sounds like a big deal and I think any offer would have to be taken. I bet a lot of countries don’t want to let you in if you got kicked out of yours (must be a good reason for it).

If I could choice I would come and join you guys in the US, or to the US v2 (Canada).

I’ve toyed with the idea of retiring in Costa Rica. It’s a beautiful country, not extremely far from the US. It’s Latin America’s oldest democracy, and has one of the highest literacy rates. I love the fact that they have state sponsored gasp health care for their citizens and that they were the first country in the world to officially abolish having a standing army.

There’s the small matter of learning more than the Tarzan Spanish I currently speak

I would probably go to live in the USA if Britain no longer loved me. I’m sure the Americans would welcome me with open arms, they did the last time I lived there. Everyone would be my friend because of my cool English accent :-)

I’ll answer Italy, but I have a feeling I would l love Spain, but I have never been there so I can’t be sure. Australia sounds good too. Many Many other countries are appealing to me in the summer months, but then the Northern latitude and very cold winter weather is a big deterent or me.

forestGeek's avatar

Germany for sure, Berlin specifically…love that city!

evegrimm's avatar

I’d live on a boat, of course. :D

But seriously…Canada, maybe, or some part of the British Isles…I’m thinking, not in a big city, but no more than an hour or two away.

tandra88's avatar

Probably Paris, England, or Japan.

JONESGH's avatar

Well I have family in Italy and speak a bit of the language, so probably there.

jrpowell's avatar

Greece. I’m pretty sure that if I did something bad enough to get kicked out Allie would somehow be involved. We might as well go to the same place.

or New Zealand if her incontinence got us caught.

Someplace warm. I hate cold weather.

Canada, maybe England or Australia. I would love to travel to other places, but I’m not very adventurous with the location of my home base.

justus2's avatar

somewhere where marijuana is completely legal. lol

evelyns_pet_zebra's avatar

@Sarcasm well that depends, many of the Canooks I know have an easily identifiable accent. Mostly those from Quebec, but there are Canadians from the other provinces with a thick accent. But yeah, you are right, people from ND and MN have that stereotypical accent.

I’m following all my friends to Canada. I hear @jmah‘s girlfriend has a nice view from her pad. Maybe I can sleep on her couch until I can find my own place?

mattbrowne's avatar

United States.

Berserker's avatar

France is my first choice, as I was born there. If not there, anywhere else in Europe where they either speak English or French…England, Belgium.
Maybe somewhere in Scandinavia, just cuz of the badass factor of the countries there.

Or maybe U.S.A, since it’s very similar to Canada, so I probbaly wouldn’t feel all that lost.
