Can you change your name on Fluther?

I think what most do is get a new account.

You chan’t change your name without getting a new account, that’s why coming up with the perfect user name is so important. I am wondering if I could come up with one as imaginative as my present one? If I do, I may delete this account just to work at getting to 10K again.

I wonder if the founders would frown on that, for whatever reason.

I wrote the same question (with reasons) in the “contact” space and received a satisfactory outcome.

@evelyns_pet_zebra I’ve had mostly positive outcomes using that method. It makes more sense to ask someone who can actually do something about it than asking our fellow jellies

No really, if you change your name then all the answers directed at you suddenly make no sense. Or those have to be changed too. What a daunting task. So, it’s a no no.

It would appear not…I didn’t think of that when I joined. I went as Symbeline so that my AB friends would easily recognize me, but had I known you couldn’t change it, I would have named myself Xena.
