Bmx? Road (traditionally known as “10-speed”) ?, Mountain?, Downhill?, Trial?, Motorcycle? Please be more specific.

A pink one – you know that it would suit you best.

Based on the information you have provided about your requirements – that is about as much advice as I can offer. If you want to be trendy – buy a fixie. (A pink one.)

An exercise bike? You’ll get in shape and look good but don’t expect to cover much distance. See ya…..Gary/wtf

I was hoping there would be some great ideas here for the newest of hi-tech bikes, instead it is comedy central!

If you are looking at mountain bikes, you have to decide if you want hardtail or full suspension. If you can afford it, full suspension is the better. Then the most known and moderately priced brands are Giant, Trek, Mongoose, GT. I have had all of them over the years and they are have their good points. I now have a GT and it is a good bike. But newer is always better so I am looking at the newer models, mine is almost 4 years old now and has had some rough riding so it is about time. I love to bikejour with my dog, that is a thrill!

Full suspension is not always better neither is a newer bike. It just depends on what you want to use the bike for.

I just wanted to add the smiley face, so you would know I was just kidding! :-) about the comedy central part I mean!

The most happening =/= best.
Are you looking to impress people with you bike hipness, or do you have another purpose for it? Are you looking to mountain bike, race, or cruise from bar to bar? What’s your budget?

“Most happening bike” sounds like you’re in high school and want a bunch of guys that exclude you to think that you have a great bike and are therefore cool, and worthy of hanging out with.

You would get better answers with better question details, like what type of riding you do, whether you really are interested in biking or are a poser, how much money you want to spend…

Yah. What they said.

However, right now, I think fixies are the most happening bike.

Can you freewheel on a fixie?

These fixies sound decidedly dangerous.

I first saw this on the very day it was posted on youtube just under six months ago. It has been viewed nearly 11 million times since. Ah, the power of youtube and a very inspiring video of a very skilled and talented bicyclist. If you’ve never seen it, hold on. If you have, enjoy it again. See ya….Gary/wtf

what exactly is a “happening bike”? What kinds of things do they do? Most people would opt for something like a mountain bike type of machine. It’s really rare to see people riding those old style 10 speeds nowadays although there is nothing wrong with that type. I suppose the more sturdy built off road kind has more versatility as they will work well on pavement but those skinny tired bikes would be rather awkward out on a trail. you have to decide what it is you want to do with the bike and make it be “happening”

Meh… people have been doing tricks on the bicycles forever.
