Who is television's most frightening villain ever?
I was inspired by this much more serious question. Who would you nominate for television’s most frightening villain? The first that came to my mind was Sylar in the first season of Heroes, but there must be someone more frightening than him. Maybe Richard from the first season of Survivor or Lydecker from Dark Angel?

Montgomery Burns.
or Uncle Jesse (full house or dukes of hazard? you figure it out.)
Tim Curry in It (a TV movie) is on top of my list.
For an actual TV show my choice is Bob from Twin Peaks.
My sister says: The “Toaster” Cylons from the Battlestar Galactica remake.
Ben from Lost had a pretty frightening personality, but in a dorky looking body.
Darcia from Wolf’s Rain.
GA for Bob, tiny!
Hannibal Lecter. Does that count? I know he’s technically a movie villain, but I watch movies on my television, so…
That was a cheap shot, AstroChuck.
Mr. Furley from Three’s Company
The puppets on Mr. Roger’s . . . though they’re not technically villains.
I second @fireinthepriory. Daleks scare me so much. Especially in the Army of ghosts episode.
oh no! @EmpressPixie, you’re too fast for me. :D
I would have to say the Weeping Angels, from Doctor Who’s Blink.
Strange, that many of us feel that Doctor Who villains are the scariest. :D
(Oh, and @Sarcasm, at first I thought you meant BtVS’s Master. But DW’s Master is also veeery scary. And crazy.)
@SuperMouse You mentioned Richard from Survivor. Have ou seen this guy on the new season? Richard has finally met his match!
@evegrimm: That episode of Doctor Who is probably the best production, writing, everything I’ve seen on television. And it is terrifying.
Also, Doctor Who is kind of a villain machine. Just a bit.
@EmpressPixie: I agree about both!
Although the first ep of NewWho did something similar, it was nowhere near as terrifying as Blink. Hooray for the Moff!
Again… Tyra Banks,, she seems like really scary crazy and every time there’s a “Tyra mail” it feels like it might say “Kill all the short people – NOW”. She’s gaining momentum in the real world to. Scary.
Blink was my “First Doctor” (My second being the “BURN WITH ME” adventure). And what a first adventure it was. I can’t wait for the new season.
Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) from Lost. He is deceitful, manipulative, and unpredictable; but he always has an end game.
The early Skynet – Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles
If you have not seen the two season series (‘twas canceled) then shame on you. The entire thing is free for viewing on TV Guide’s website.
The organization is all kinds of fucked up, though. Go the “Season 1 – Episode X”
I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.
The Trinity Killer on the the latest season of Dexter. John Lithgow is sooooooo creepy as that guy.
Pennywise was pretty damn frightening.
“They all float down here.”
I was going to say someone from the Trinity Broadcasting Network, but I think I’m with Astrochuck about Glen Beck. Errgh!
Was Pete Burns (when he was on Celebrity Big Brother) supposed to be a villain? ‘Cos he scared me plenty, I don’t mind tellin’ you, as do Daleks, Diana from the mini-series V and Brother Justin from Carnivale.
@augustlan, my best friend in jr. high was madly in love with him! John Lithgow is great as a creepy, scary guy but my vote is also Pennywise.
The Master? Mmmm…maybe, but I always thought the Master played by Anthony Ainley was kinda hot!
