Apple Pages Highlighter Shortcut?

Asked by helloimcat (92points) October 5th, 2009

I’ve been looking to find a keyboard shortcut to apply a yellow highlighter affect to a text in Pages ‘09— so far my only solution is character styles and a hot key, but there’s not an easy way to remove it afterwards.

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried applying a background color?

Cmd-T should bring up the Font Appearance dialog. From there you should be able to select a background color.

That does what I want it to, but the point is finding a shortcut. Similar to the cmd-B shortcut.

@helloimcat oh. well, you can assign a Style in the Styles drawer, then use the F1-F8 keys to apply it to selected text.

FYI, the Styles drawer is Shift-Cmd-T.
