Should a junior girl date a freshman boy? When would that be/not be okay?
I’m just wondering. I go to a smaller high school, and thinking about it, it doesn’t seem that many juniors are dating freshman. (Maybe if the girls are younger) I just don’t know if it would be socially acceptable to do that.

I think there’s no problem with that.
Would a 23yr old date a 20yr old? Sure. Why not?
Isn’t it different in high school though?
@amazingchaley If you are concerned with others opinions, then maybe. In real life, a couple of years either way makes no difference.
A couple years rarely makes a difference, but in high school it’s understandable that you think it might be weird. When I was a senior I had a “thing” with a kid who was a sophomore, and it was kind of weird because at that age I think girls are a lot more mature than boys…in the end it probably doesn’t matter, just do what you want :) if you have a mutual interest in each other, it shouldn’t matter. just dont worry about other peoples opinions, like @SpatzieLover said.
You might catch some flack from some ignorant people, but there’s nothing wrong with it.
@deni is exactlyy like babby? ;)
I started dating my bf when I was a senior and he was a freshman. We have been together 5 yrs now so obviously I don’t think there is a thing wrong with it. =)
@deni Was it a romp in the frizzer?
I dated a Junior girl as a freshman… no issues whatsoever. It was awesome.
I’d go for it. If others say something, they’re probably just jealous.
I dated a freshmen girl as a junior for a little bit, couple months maybe. why would it be a problem? you’re in highschool.
you’re talking about 17 vs 15, right? No, I don’t see the problem. 2 years are actually a lot at these ages, but not that enormous that it’s “too much”. But of course all these are rules of thumb. You could be the exact same age and one could be much older than the other. But generally it doesn’t sound like a huge difference.
