Yahoo answers is a bit similar this Fluther in its idea of helpfulness, but what makes Fluther different? Fluther seems to be more literate and more focused to the discussion and allows a debate. While Yahoo answers if flooded with seemingly idiots and a few helpful people. What do you think?

You just answered your own question mate. =)
Wait until someone posts the How Is Babby Formed link, and you’ll know the difference.
You don’t get to be a Salty Dog on Yahoo Answers, so I vote Fluther.
I think fluther is 100 times better than yahoo answers. I tried yahoo a couple times but I never really received any good responses (if any at all). Most people on here also seem a bit more educated. I vote fluther!
@johnpowell beat me to it.
Fundamentally, it probably comes down to moderating. The mods here are good, and smart, and hyper-vigilant about keeping malformed grammar, misspellings, and TXTing style type off the front page.
Also, the userbase seems to not tolerate, well, idiocy, which is different from Yahoo Answers.
@Samurai Ahh…
Well, then you just answered it for me. =)
But if I may, the clean interface and the real-time functionality also makes this place a whole lot different in a better way.
@johnpowell LOL. Good one.
what’s the difference between a cold mcdonalds burger and a filet minon and red wine reduction?
@chyna ill pretend you didn’t say that. ;)
How can you compare fluther with yahoo answers? ew
@Tink1113 Your probably right, regretting that now.
Five Guys, In N Out or GTFO
Where else could you find something like this?
Wow, guys, way to represent how Fluther is “more focused to the discussion”.
Just messin’ with ya
Fluther is better, but then, I haven’t taken the time to learn how to maneuver there.
Welcome to Fluther! Stick around for a while, and I think you’ll like it much better. :)
I think you’ll fit right in here, @Samurai. You posted a question both eloquently and correctly. You have obviously done your homework, and though your question is not unique, it was well-written and has prompted responses from even the weariest jellies.
This is the difference. You are now a part of that.
Welcome.
@Zen Way to boost my ego. ;D
Fluther is better. More pricks at Yahoo Answers.
@Samurai It’s fun browsing through Fluther pages. Jellies jumping in on discussions with enormous energy. Take this page for a starter.
Fluther’s clean and sophisticated. Very nice design indeed!
Yeah… You can’t even compare the two. Fluther is like a hot fudge sundae with all the toppings. And YahooAnswers is like… A sack of dog shit that someone lit on fire and left on your porch.
Fluther is a prettier shade of green.
The Collective’s left pinky toe contains more intellectual prowess and sex appeal than all of Yahoo! Answersers combined.
I feel its like Yahoo answers but better and without the stupid people. But do go telling people that because we dont want the stupid people.
Yahoo Answers is “Post it and forget it” Bulletin Board, whereas Fluther allows instant feedback and discussion – they are not remotely similar in function or appeal. I am level seven on Answers, but have pretty much stopped using it since discovering Fluther. I used to pass spare time there – now it is here.
That´s like comparing a scooter to a Ferrari.. of course Fluther is better in EVERY SINGLE WAY.
P.S. I agree with @eponymoushipster , In & Out is awesome…. but i still like Carl´s and Fudruckers
I don’t know. Probably on YA! the same question gets asked about 500 times, while on fluther in only gets asked 30 times. Oh, wait. Fluther has a much smaller user base than YA! Maybe the difference is that sometimes—very rarely, I think—someone will actually do the research here to see if the same question has already been asked.
@DarkScribe I agree. On fluther, you get instant answers. I had windows system file problems. I asked the question, and within a single twinkle of my eye, answers started showing themselves.
