When should I be wearing my glasses?

My prescription is right eye -0.25 myopia and -0.75 astigmatism, left eye is -0.50 myopia and -0.75 astigmatism. I was told by thew doctor to wear them full time reading, while on the computer, driving and just even walking around. Should I wear them full time like he says? I’ve had them for about a week now and I wear them here and there. What should I do? If I do wear them full time will I become dependent on them?

Wear them when you need to see more clearly…if thats all the time then wear them all the time. I’ve worn glasses since third grade and for a while, every year my eyes got a little bit worse but this last year they actually improved a bit. So who knows.
How would we know more than the doctor? He says wear them full time… why would you take internet strangers’ advice over that of the doctor?
Yeah I didn’t even see that before…if he says wear them full time then wear them full time.
Since your doc said wear them all the time, you should probably wear them pretty much all the time. Take them off to sleep, of course, and stop wearing them if you think they are giving you headaches or something. If the latter is the case, though, go see your doctor about it because your prescription is probably wrong.
When you first start wearing glasses it doesn’t feel like you need to wear them full time. Eventually you’ll fall into the habit of using them full time and it won’t feel so weird anymore. You’ll notice how much you use and need them when you try going for a day without them again.
While I’m not saying you should discredit your doctor, there are moments when doctors do not have the end-all be-all answers to everything. If you are questioning the mandate you could get a second (professional) opinion.
I would wear them all the time. You can get headaches if you have astigmatism.
