What is the "Pilgrim" award suppose to mean?
I just noticed we have awards now on our account page, and all it says about it when I click on it is:
“We’d tell you, but the CIA will [REDACTED]”
Not quite sure what that means… can anyone help?

Basically it’s an award given to those who have “made a pigrimage” to the original fluther question. If you find the first question asked on fluther… you will know.
The answer is pretty simple if you really think about it. Who could have asked the first question on fluther? how would you go about finding questions asked by this person?
(i can’t make it any simpler)
Who knows for sure? Could be the first jellies that washed up on Plymouth Rock.
I think it has something to do with John Wayne…
“Redacted” means “edited for publication.” NaCl.
it means you have to put on black shoes with large silver buckles and not drink.
So how is the award actually awarded? Does it just log you having been there? Or do you need to comment on it?
@aphilotus: I had the award prior to commenting on there, which I only did minutes ago.
I commented and nothing so far…
Hmm. What else could be a sacred shrine on fluther? Could it be that we’re not chosen? Is there are Rapture kinda thing going on here?
In case of Rapture Award, this comment will be unmanned.
Far be it from me to pour salt in the wounds of those who don’t know yet, but, this question has indeed been peppered with clues.
@Dr_C Your comment and NaCl was a dead give away already. :p Though I didn’t get spiced up anyway.
I have a gnawing suspicion we are being lead around in a noose here. WE ARE NOT TOYS FOR YOUR PLEASURES! We just wanna be like you…and stuff
@poofandmook: I just added the Flutherbot to my IM, and I don’t show the Eeee eeee eeeee Award yet… I guess it takes a little while for it to register through the system.
I am now wondering about the Old-Timer, too… because not everyone who commented on those earliest posts has it. I guessed that it was for people who had joined in the earliest months (I joined as part of the iPhone influx about 9 months after the first Q, and I don’t have it). But some of those original members who are not active do not have it.
@hearkat Mmm, I think it would be strange if one could get the old timer-award now. But who knows the criteria for that.
@hearkat If they are inactive, the awards won’t be added to their profiles until (and unless) they log in again.
I still want to know about cumin on the coffee table . . .
@Kayak8 im sure there’s an urban dictionary entry for that…
@augustlan: the other awards appear on their profile, though
@hearkat Hrm. Don’t listen to me then… apparently, I have no clue! :P
@augustlan: ~Geez! And I thought that as Manager you’d have all the answers~
Haha, I thought the ‘Pilgrim’ was for those of you who made a pilgrimage from other question sites (like wis.dm). Shows what I know!
@evegrimm That’s a cute thought, though. But it would take a lot of detective work to determine who exactly came from another site, and who stumbled upon fluther for the first time. But the idea was cute.
@all If you’re seeing weirdness with the awards, email feedback (or use the contact form). We’ve been seeing reports that some of the awards having been going through.
Awards go through? What do they go through? The door?
Through changes? maybe they’re noticing girl awards, getting fur where there wasn’t fur before? Don’t worry @andrew – it’s completely normal and natural!
s/having/haven’t.
I’m tired.
—@andrew: ((((((hugs)))))) and a nice cup of hot cocoa—c(_)
You’ve been working very hard, and we Lurve you for it!
^^^getting the “Kiss Up” award (@hearkat) ;)~
@eponymoushipster: LOL4rl!!!
I meant my reply to andrew with all sincerity (even though he is a Lakers fan)... it’s my motherly instinct)
@hearkat i know. i know. usually im a strict headmaster in this fluther world. perhaps why i have the pilgrim award, eh?
i got one but haven’t a clue. good luck.
