What's the best way to research this topic?
I need to write a quick report on drug laws in Belgium but I don’t know where to find the most reliable information. Any idea where I might look? I really only have access to my school library and the internet, I’m hoping there’s a website I can visit for the info.

Drugs? Illegal.
Cannabis/Weed? Tolerated in very small dosages. If the police searches you they cannot take your weed if you have 3 grams or less or 1 female cannabis plant. Provided:
> you are over 18 years old.
> it’s for personal use.
> you’re not disrupting public safety (e.g. near a school).
> there are no aggravating circumstances (e.g. near minors).
They will make a note of it, but it won’t go on your record. If you want to know more about the history look at this legislation overview (Flemmish forum but Google translated).
Could you be a little more specific on what you are looking for? It’s not really common practice here on Fluther to link to Google (some might say rude), but you don’t seem to be looking for very specific info that could be easily found with Google.
Use the academic search premiere provided by your school library. Will provide you with all of the information that you need.
A great resource would be to search the local police department /court websites. They usually have information and stats regarding drug laws and use/abuse.
try the international criminal court.
otherwise, try to see if you can find a local newspaper website that may reference a related law. that may be a start.
