Can you make girly drinks with Jack Daniels?

Asked by Mtl_zack (6781points) October 14th, 2009

A friend invited me to a party, and the theme is girly drinks. I just bought two 750 ml bottles of Jack Daniels, and there’s no way I’m buying vodka too, at least for two weeks. The liquor store is also quite far and out of the way. Is there anything that I can make with it that is girly? By girly I mean fruity and the like.

Just give them all shots and tell them that real girls don’t drink pink and purple drinks with umbrellas in them. Pretty soon people will be too drunk to care.
P.S. – I commend you on your liquor choice, sir.

My friends and I really enjoy whiskey sours.
:edit: and mint juleps, come to think of it.

Sugar, cream and a little coffee. Black jack works. Whiskey sour yes.

My girly way of drinking Jack is neat or on the rocks, but it’s good with vanilla coke!

Whiskey sours are wonderful!

It’s tough to find cocktails made with Jack Daniels; I think most of them have already been suggested. It mixes really well with ginger ale or ginger beer. (A jack and ginger?) That’s not specifically girly, but you don’t really taste the alcohol much. If you make this with rum, it’s a dark and stormy.

Jack & Coke. Put a cherry and a drink straw in it.

Mixed drinks are all about presentation. Whiskey is a hard sell for many girls so you have to dress it up.

I’m going to assume your guests are all of legal drinking age.

Jack and Dr Pepper© is for winners. Maybe with a lemon wedge too if you’re feeling adventurous.

Put some ice cubes in a glass, pour in some Jack, and insert one paper umbrella. That’s how Jack does “girly.”

You want a drink where you can’t taste the alcohol, then make a “Greenie”. It is dangerously good. For me only in the summer, I live in winter 10 months of the year.
Amazing drink if you have evil intentions. I am sure you can find it in Google, or call the old bartender at “Elsee’s” that served it to me.

@Darwin It seems though that it’s quite common that girls don’t much like the taste of alcohol. But I prefer it like you. Bourbon is king as it is.

You could, @Mtl_zack – but why spoil it with anything? I drink mine neat.

Just add ice and some Double Double Cherry Kool-Aid.

You can add fresh lime juice to a mint julep and you will essentially have a bourbon mojito. We all know how much the ladies like mojitos. I guarantee it will go over well.

BLASPHEMER! Who in the hell would want to do such a thing to perfectly good whiskey?

trailsillustrated's avatar

of course! 2 cubes ice, JD to the brim, with a flower stuck on top!

I agree with the mixture of vanilla coke.

Here is a great recipe:

2 shots JD
200 mL Vanilla Coke
Half of a lime
50 mL triple sec
