Why do you think that the winner hasn't responded?

Maybe she died or was hospitalized.

She might have just entered for the hell of it, and didn’t expect or want to win. So she’s trying to avoid it now.

How long have they been trying to reach her? It couldn’t have been more than week since the application deadline was Oct 7th. Maybe she is on vacation.

Maybe her application was a bunch of BS and she was just trying to see if she could successfully pull one over on them. Now that she has she knows she’ll have to publicly confess.

Maybe… it could be any number of things.

If you could find her and tell her you might become one of her “friends” who share the prize. I have spent a lot of time in the Whitsunday Islands – it would be a damn good holiday. A tropical beachfront resort with all expenses paid?

Maybe she is just really irresponsible. There was so much competition that she probably never imagined she would win, so maybe she didn’t make any plans for what she would do if she really had to go to Australia for seven weeks. I’m irresponsible, and sometimes I will stop returning calls/ e-mails rather than deal with an issue directly. If that’s the case, she’s really taking it to the extreme, but she definitely has to have some major issue going on in her life.

I have wondered whether s/he was mucking about and used phony details.

Maybe she wasn’t even the one who entered her name in the competition.. maybe somebody else entered her not thinking she would win and now she thinks its a prank or something. That would really suck!

There is a thought – maybe she regards the winning notification as a spoofing attempt or spam.“Oh dear, not another phony competition that I have won. That makes nine this week”

Kalifornians.. go figure.
